The Metropolitan Museum Suite is a beautiful two bedroom, 3 room apartment that sleeps up to 6 people in the very centre of Manhattan – just couple blocks away from world-famous Metropolitan Museum.
The Metropolitan Museum Suite and the other apartments managed by our company are the only environmentally-friendly serviced apartments in New York. We are trying to have as little impact on environment as possible – the apartment is not perfect in this regard yet but it is getting there. We are using only eco-friendly cleaning supplies and recycled materials for all the paper and glass that we use in the apartment. We have signed a special contract with the electric company to ensure that we use only electricity generated by wind and water – it costs a little more but we think it is worth it! We also try to use as much recyclable materials as possible. Nowadays everyone has to be thinking about the impact on our planet, and it’s the little things like this that start to make a difference. The apartment has two large bedrooms with a big closet and a queen size bed. The living room is cosy with a comfortable fold-out sofa, TV and a table for dining with family or friends. The apartment also comes with HDTV with cable and free high speed Internet access as well as free International calls to International landlines so you can keep in touch with your family and friends back home. The kitchen is just the right size and has a stove, large refrigerator, all the pots and pans, cutlery and crockery making it easy for you to cook your own food. Considering the location and the amenities, the Metropolitan Museum Suite is one of the best apartments in our database in terms of value for money. We hope to see you in New York!

Known to many as the most affluent and prestigious milieu in Manhattan, the Upper East Side is awash in elegance and culture. The Upper East Side is home to such charming neighborhoods as Carnegie Hill, Lennox Hill, East End Avenue and Yorkville. With many verdant, tree-lined streets and avenues, the neighborhood is a delightful place to live. Cultural attractions here are multitudinous. Famous Museum Mile along Fifth Avenue is lined with some of the world??s most prominent art institutions: the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Guggenheim Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Frick Art Collection located in the Frick Mansion, among others. Given its many famous museums and art, the Upper East Side of Manhattan is one of the most celebrated areas in the country.
Madison Avenue is host to some of the city??s toniest shopping including glamorous designer clothing stores such as Armani, Ralph Lauren and Gianni Versace. And throughout the area, there is no shortage of places to eat. Chic, sleek trendsetting restaurants alternate with warm ethnic nooks. Before or after an expedition along Madison Avenue or Museum Mile, you can easily satisfy any craving from among the myriad cuisines, yummy delights and noshing possibilities throughout the Upper East Side.
Other attributes of this locale include its proximity to Central Park and its numerous elite schools, of prime importance to families. The Dalton School, Chapin, and some of the best public schools in the city. While many families have understandably flocked here, more and more young professionals and singles are moving to the Upper East Side as well.

The Metropolitan Museum Suite apartment is located on 3rd Avenue in the middle of Upper East Side New York City, just couple blocks from Central Park, Guggenheim Museum and Metropolitan Museum of Art – some of New York’s most famous landmarks.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art (also known as “The Met”) is an art museum on the eastern edge of Central Park which has always been a must-see attraction for those who visit New York. It is located on 5th Avenue and 82nd Street. Its permanent collection contains more than two million works of art and the exhibits include works of art from classical antiquity and Ancient Egypt, paintings and sculptures from nearly all the European masters, and an extensive collection of American and modern art. The Met also maintains extensive holdings of African, Asian, Oceanic, Byzantine, and Islamic art.[8] The museum is also home to encyclopedic collections of musical instruments, costumes and accessories, and antique weapons and armor from around the world. Several notable interiors, ranging from 1st-century Rome through modern American design, are permanently installed in the Met's galleries. There is also Iris and Gerald Cantor Roof Garden which offers views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline, and features an annual summertime single artist sculpture exhibition. The Garden's cafe and bar is a popular museum spot during the mild-weathered months, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings when large crowds can lead to long lines at the elevators.
The Solomon Guggenheim Museum (often referred to as "The Guggenheim") is a well-known museum located on the 5th Avenue and 88th Street. It is the permanent home to a renowned collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, early Modern, and contemporary art and also features special exhibitions throughout the year. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, it is one of the 20th century's most important architectural landmarks. You might have seen this museum in movies. For example it is featured in Men in Black, When in Rome, Ugly Betty and prominently in The International, where a major shootout occurs in the museum (in fact, a life-size replica of the museum was built for this scene).
Central Park is a large park in the middle of New York – absolutely amazing! There are so many things to do there, you might as well not leave the area at all. Especially if you have kids – this area is definitely best for you! Couple things that everyone loves to do in Central Park – picnicking, ice skating (in winter), visiting the Zoo (the entrance is on 64th Street on the East Side), jogging and just enjoying the nature. There are also tons of excursions in Central Park, some featuring those landmarks in the park where famous movies were filmed. The movies include “Serendipity”, “Ghostbusters”, “Enchanted”, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and “Home Alone 2”. You can also rent bicycles at Columbus Circle and just ride around the park on your own and enjoy the nature!
You have practically everything you need for your stay in New York on 3rd Avenue – you do not need to go more than a few minutes on foot to eat any cuisine, withdraw money, buy electronics, get cell phone pay-as-you-go SIM-cards, or even watch a show or a movie.
This is definitely the best apartment for those who want to cook and have dinners in the apartment – not only it has an amazing big stove and oven, but also you will have several grocery stores around which is very rare in New York: you can get everything in the Food Emporium supermarket on 86th Street and 2nd Avenue or in Cristedes on 1st Avenues and 86th Street or on Lexington Avenue between 89th and 90th Streets. If you just want to pick up some quick basic items as well as fresh fruits and vegetables, you might want to visit B&B Street Market right across the street from the apartment or if you want to eat healthy organic cuisine make sure to visit grocery store across the street – Lotus Health Foods.
If you are trying to decide where to eat nearby you can choose between numerous options – 3rd and Lexington Avenues have a huge number of restaurants. For a quick snack, you can go to Starbucks for great coffee and sandwiches (at 84th Street and 3rd Avenue), Tasti-D-Lite for sweets and coffee (on 86th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues); Papaya King hot dog place (corner of 86th and 3rd) or to Burger Haven. If you are in the mood for something more substantial choose from many fine dining restaurants and bars around the block with all the possible cuisines –Vietnamese cuisine restaurant called Pan Asian on 86th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues; Japanese cuisine and sushi place Oki Sushi on 88th Street and 3rd Avenue as well numerous Italian restaurants. And if you prefer eat outside, you have one more option – you can just make yourself a lunch or grab a sandwich nearby and come and sit in a green garden with tables and chairs located right on 86th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
There is plenty of shopping right around the corner from the apartment, so you won’t miss those sales! On 3rd Avenue you have Gap, H&M, Nine West, Steve Madden and many more. For all your sports shopping needs there is Modell’s at 87th and 3rd Avenue and for all the electronics make sure to drop by Best Buy on the corner of 86th Street and Lexington Avenue.
Duane Reade pharmacy nearby is located on the corner of 86th Street and Lexington Avenue – it’s the largest New York pharmacy chain and is open 24 hours. Pharmacies in the US sell everything from food to umbrellas, so if you’re not sure where to find what you need – go to the pharmacy, and you’ll find it!
If you like to exercise during your stay, there are two gyms available – Equinox on the corner of 3rd Avenue and 85th Street and NY Sports Club on 86th Street between 3rd and Lexington Avenues. There is also hot yoga (yoga in sauna) available on 85th and Lexington! For those who need to use their cell phone and want to get a local SIM card, make sure to visit AT&T store at 86th Street and 3rd Avenue or Verizon store on 86th Street between 3rd and Lexington Avenues. For entertainment, visit 86th Street cinemas located on 86th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
If you need to withdraw money or use other banking services, you have a lot of banks at your disposal, the closest being on the corner of 86th Street and 3rd Avenue – HSBC bank. There is also Bank of America 86th and Lexington, Chase bank on 2nd Avenue and 86th Street and 86th Street and Lexington, TD bank on 3rd Avenue and 85th Street and Capital One on 86th Street between 3rd and Lexington Avenues.
If you’re coming to New York by car – there are many secure parking places near the apartment, the closest being the one just around the corner from the apartment – on 86th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. However, think twice before bringing your car with you, even cheap parking in New York will cost you about $30 a day! If you’re flying to New York, the bus from JFK will take you to Grand Central from where you can catch subway on the green line, train 4, 5 or 6. If you catch 4 or 5 express trains, you will be at your apartment in 10 minutes. The closest subway to the apartment is on 86th Street and Lexington Avenue (the stop is called “86th Street”), here you can catch 4, 5 or 6 train (green line), and go by subway to any destination in the city.

Cancellation policy:
- If the booking is cancelled more than 21 days before arrival date, the Hospitality Provider will charge a $50 processing fee
- If the booking is cancelled 21-14 days before arrival date the Hospitality Provider will charge a cancellation fee equal to 30% of the booking
- If the booking is cancelled 14-7 days before arrival date the Hospitality Provider will charge a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the booking
- If the booking is cancelled less than 7 days before arrival date the booking will be non-refundable
A cancellation fee equal to 100% of accommodation price per apartment booked will also be applied if the USER moves out of the apartment before the USER's reserved departure time.
Prepayment of 100% of total amount is necessary for all bookings
Please note that the price is increased by $20 per night for bookings after September 15.
Please note that the bookings for Easter (1-10 April 2012) and Christmas season (21 December - 3 January) will be non-refundable. The rate per night will be 80 USD extra for this period.
